The Sun and the Moon
A tale of Aqumer
Chapter one
The Sun
Dawn, A time when hope for a new day begins, A time when past errors and mistakes are forgotten, In short dawn is a new beginning. For this Princess Dawn was named. Her hair was the fiery gold of the sun, Her skin was the shade as a field of daises at sunrise. Her eyes where as blue as the sky on a clear summer day, And her heart was as noble as a lion. She was fierce and proud and up with the sun. Riding her horse Coalfire she practice throwing her lance and swordplay till dusk. This worried her sister Rosebloom greatly. One day when she was practicing with her sword she heard her sister call out, "Dawn Dawn hurry up you know today is the day when the ambassador from Zauqulot is coming and you know how she hates being kept waiting." "I'm coming I'm coming."Sighed Dawn as she pulled out the sword from the cloth dummy and walk toward the palace. The land of Zauqulot was a savage place. He was very timid and shuddered under the tall ambassador's gaze. "And who might this young lady be?" Said Rikinoa sounding like she would rather eat Dawn then have dinner with her. Rikinoa was a tall and proud woman. She was very beautiful in a cruel way. Her hair was dark brown while her eyes where a lovely caramel color. Her skin was dark and was set off with a long white dress with small thin golden threads running through it. But even with all that beauty her twisted smile gave away all the evil that was in her heart. "This my youngest daughter Princess Dawn." King Dirrick said his skittish manner disappearing instantly as pride shining on his face. He was glad that His daughter's dress kept up to the high standards of the southern country. Dawn with a lot of effort made a polite curtsy and hid a sigh. She never did like fancy dinners and she could tell that this was going to be the worse. Just
