Dark Star swam towards the island. She half way there and her legs were killing her. She had hunted most of the day solitary. By the time she had finished her legs barely kept her up, but she msut speak with her leader before she slept. Finally she felt ground under her paws and started to scrabble up the muddy shore on onto the grassy area. She shook droplets from her pelt and gave it to the grass. Her white fur stood out like a sore thumb against the green turf. She plopped down in the center of the island, trying not to sleep she thought of why she had come.
There were little threats and the wolves were losing there edge at fighting and even worse there were very few members in the pack. It was time to sharpen fighting moves and recruit others to join the swimmers. Most Lake Ada wolves had the ability to swim and had the muscle to stay on there paws, but she had exhuasted herself chasing prey around all day. Now she had to think of a way to present her thoughts to the alpha female. It was her duty as beta to voice her concerns about the pack.
